Today in the information age, computers take place inevitably in every part of life. Computers and information systems becoming widespread in all manufacturing and service industry in addition to government, increases the productivity and quality, helps development and adds values to life.

Computer engineering includes subjects advancing so fast that new becomes obsolete in a few years. In this department, education is given at a universal level by following the scientific and technological changes closely and taking into consideration the needs of the country. On one hand, fundamental knowledge is taught solidly, on the other hand up to date information is kept on being added to the course contents. In this approach, educating high quality engineers who are knowledgeable, creative and capable of solving the problems in the industry is targeted.

Our Mission

The mission of the Maltepe University Computer Engineering department, is providing a high quality education related to computing in the information age by teaching the theory, techniques, principals and applications of this area in detail. In this way, when students well informed with computer science subjects graduate, they will have the skills necessary to compete in many different national and international studies. Students obtain the necessary knowledge and research abilities and are surrounded with all kinds of resources in order to help them to become a vauable member of the society, to increase their problem solving skills in critical cases, to inform them about their ethical responsibilities and most importantly to be able to express themselves both orally and in writing.
