ORGANIZATION
The establishment of the Maltepe University Engineering Faculty Civil Engineering department has been approved by YÖK on March 2007. Student registration will start as of 2009-2010 academic year. Student quota is 50 including 5 fellowships.

CIVIL ENGINEERING INTEREST AREAS
Civil engineering is one of the long-established and widespread engineering areas in our country. Civil engineers has played important roles in economical and technological growth of our country. Civil engineers has a broad work area. They can work both in private and public sectors. The wide work areas of civil engineers can be summarized as below:
· Housing construction for sheltering purpose
· Dam and water structures for irrigation and energy
· Air, land and sea transportation structures and transportation planning
· Project planning, construction management and project economical feasibility evaluation
To educate civil engineers having fundamental engineering knowledge, design and implementation skills, capable of thinking analytical, who works well in a team, who has constant learning desire and who is aware of social responsibilities.
